چکیده

THE DEVELOPMENT of mitral and aortic prostheses has allowed surgery for patients with pathology of multiple valves not otherwise correctable.1' 2 Experience with this type of surgery culminated in replacement of the tricuspid, mitral, and aortic valves during one operation in certain patients with severe rheumatic heart disease.3 The present report will describe the hemodynamic findings in eight of these patients during the first year after triple valve replacement. We are not aware of previous reports describing the hemodynamic results of tricuspid valve replacement, and therefore, catheterization data from two other persons who had combined tricuspid and mitral valve replacement are included also.

Right sided heart evaluation after successful mitral valve replacement.

Introduction: It is well-documented that right-sided heart dysfunction and significant tricuspid valve regurgitation (TVR) have adverse effects on patient outcomes after left-sided heart valve surgery. Therefore, the evaluation of right ventriclular (RV) function and TR severity in patients who had undergone mitral valve replacement (MVR), associated with/without concomitant su...

Severe paraprosthetic regurgitation was present in ii patients and slight regurgitation in 2 patients. Two patients had aortic regurgitation which w...
